POT BLACK SERIES OF POKER

The Seventh heat of the Pot Black Series of Poker took part last Saturday Night. 16 hopefuls took their seats hoping to gather more points towards the final table at the end of the year. After a few hours cards with bad beats aplenty the field had been whittled down to the final 3. Remarkably these were the same 3 as the previous heat, C.Kinnear (Christy), A.Cooper (All-In) and Myself C.Read (Dead-Cert). Aaron managed to suck out against me to resign me to 3rd for the second tourny running just missing out on the money, spawny git!!! no hard feelings though! This time he met his match with truly our Queen of Cards Christy. With excellent aggressive play Christy really is hard to read and was a deserved winner on the night pushing her up the points leaderboard. POT BLACK DREAM TEAM

Back for another year is the members favourite, Pot Black Dream Team. Always the talk of the bar on a Saturday afternoon, not how well your beloved team is getting on but how many goals your dream team has, or the number of 'clean sheets', 'Star-Man's' you've achieved. This years competition has a slight change in that you may transfer a total of 3 players at any point during the season, so players breaking legs or moving abroad may not be as damaging to your side! Last years walkaway winner Ricky 'Golden Balls' Long bagged £140. Hopefully with more interest this year we will be able to pay more people. So be sure to hand your completed teams in at the bar. Player Lists and Rules (Scoring etc) can be found on the notice board.

CUSTOMER PROFILE

This weeks Pot Black Customer Profile is the one and only Son of the Management Max 'Little Wally' Wall. Max has the Pot Black running through his veins and from being old enough to hold a cue has been winning compo's in the club. He has even managed to win doubles tournaments with his Dad so he must have shoulders like Serena Williams!! Max is an integral member of the Pot Black footy team and a match for anyone on the poker table. Max has just finished School and is out in the real world working in Norwich, but less of the boring stuff let's find out what he's really like......

Who are your sporting idols and why?
Chumley Warner former Pot Black FC legend for the ability to break someones leg, and Rafael Nadal because he kind of reminds me of myself!!


Who in your opinion is the best Snooker player you’ve seen in the club?
Darren ‘Walter’ Swinburn is pretty handy, but by far the best for technique has to be Normmmmmmm!

Who is the best player in the Pot Black Footy team?
Definitely not me, although there are rumours that I have found my right foot again!

What is the best thing about the Pot Black?
Running up a huge tab on rolls and drinks for the old man and seeing his face turn from grumpy to even more grumpy when he finds out!!

Who would you most like to meet?

NEWMARKET RACES

Pot Black presents its annual Beano to Newmarket Races. An Excellent chance for all our punters to do their nuts in style!!! Superb day out with refreshments at a lovely pub outside newmarket on the way and a fabulous picnic buffet after the races are over
