For all the uninitiated members of the Club, the infamous Pot Black has again been at the forefront of breaking new boundaries. Having had a set of carpet bowls in the club to entertain our punters on drunken silly games days (which seem to happen more and more regular), it got noticed by our ever-so competitive dart team players. Thinking they are obviously going to be brilliant at it (like they think they are at everything) on a few Friday nights after darts, instead of playing "spoof" or "Liar dice" the table bowls got a airing. Then, like every game they play, it got ultra competitive and after a lot of friendly bitchiness of "who's the best" the Worlds Snooker bowls competition was formed! After beating off Barry Hearns to stage it at Wembley "Mick Wall Promotions" finally got the contract for Saturday 16 th. Jan at the Club and this was the night sporting history was going to be made!
